Bruce (aka Danch in the Japanese version) is a mini boss from Streets of Rage 3 who fights alongside Victy.

Bruce appears as a clown holding a very long whip. While he will swing his whip at heroes that get too close, he prefers to retreat or hang back, letting Victy/Roo do most of the fighting. If he cracks his whip at Roo, Roo will seek out a player and immediately do his special, which can be devastating on higher difficulties. If Roo is still alive when Bruce is defeated, Roo will run off screen, and become a playable character who can be chosen after a continue (or by having a second player join the game after that point).
He returns in Streets of Rage 4's Mr. X Nightmare DLC, as an AI assist character summoned by Roo's Star Move, and as a mini boss fought in Survival Mode.
